From her hit single “Love Myself” to her “Rock Bottom” collaboration with Joe Jonas’s band, DNCE, Hailee Steinfeld has had a breakout year with her music. The singer is also opening for Meghan Trainor’s upcoming Untouchable tour, which kicks off this Thursday (July 14) at the PNE Amphitheater in Vancouver. Before she hits the road, Hailee dropped major news first about her upcoming single, “Starving,” which she worked on with Zedd. She posted lengthy teasers on Instagram of her singing complete verses of their song. Her first clip stayed true to her Pitch Perfect roots as she sang completely in a cappella.

The star then followed up with some major harmonizing of another part of the song. These preview clips couldn’t be catchier and it’ll have you replaying her ‘gram videos again and again. She just tweeted Friday with a hashtag of the single’s title implying the track would be out at the end of the week. There’s no scheduled show for Friday (July 15), but that doesn’t mean she and Zedd can’t surprise fans with an official performance down the road.

‘World Championship Finale 2’ hitmaker Hailee Steinfeld has been in a studio environment with Zedd. We know this to be true because she shared a picture of the two of them on Snapchat with the caption, “in the studiooooo”.

That’s it really. Not sure if this is for her album or his but either way a song or two may from come it at some point in the future.

Moviegoers will have to wait a bit longer to see Pitch Perfect 3.

Universal on Tuesday announced it is pushing back the release of the threequel from July 21, 2017, to Dec. 22, 2017, the heart of the lucrative year-end holidays. Or, as the studio noted, “Get ready to have a Merry Pitchmas.” The move came only several weeks after the studio said it was moving up Pitch Perfect 3 to July 21 from Aug. 4 of next year.

Elizabeth Banks is returning in the director’s chair, while stars Anna Kendrick, Hailee Steinfeld, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow will reprise their roles.

Universal also is shifting Girl Trip’s release date, which will now open on July 21, 2017, Pitch Perfect 3’s old date. The movie, produced by Will Packer and directed by Malcom D. Lee, was originally set to open Aug. 11, 2017.

Girl Trip centers on four lifelong friends who travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival.

The crime drama is gearing up for Blu-ray in July.

In an early announcement to retailers, Universal is preparing ‘Term Life’ for Blu-ray on July 5.

Vince Vaughn and Hailee Steinfeld are hunted by a vengeful mob boss and dirty cops in this action-packed crime thriller co-starring Bill Paxton and Jon Favreau. When the heist he planned goes horribly wrong and he’s framed for a drug lord’s son’s murder, Nick Barrow (Vaughn) must expose the enemies who set him up before they track down and kill him. Taking out a million-dollar life insurance policy to help his estranged daughter Cate (Steinfeld), Nick is forced to take her on the run until the policy kicks in or he finds a way to clear his name. Also starring Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson (Empire).

The Blu-ray/Digital HD combo pack will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD MA 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: A Family Affair: Making Term Life.

Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $26.98.

Meghan Trainor dropped her new album Thank You on Friday and she will hit the road to support it next month with Hailee Steinfeld as her opening act.

Meghan is bringing Hailee because she loves her music and her personality.

She tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest: “She’s so genuine. She is so real and chill and down-to-earth. I love that. Anyways, I cannot wait. With her, Hailee Seinfeld and my dudes Common Kings we gonna tear it up on stage. It’s gonna be amazing.”

What better way too celebrate their new global program titled, A Natural Mix than by partnering with two equally influential musicians who mix with the best of them for a party at Marquee. Greeted by a giant Kiehl’s encrusted birthday cake, Hailee Steinfeld performed a short acoustic set featuring “Love Myself” and “Rock Bottom” followed by a Vashtie fuelled dance party.

Both limited edition Ultra Facial Cream designs will raise funds and awareness for their charity of choice, which in Vashtie’s case is a non-profit organization called The Student Conservation Association.
