Hailee Steinfeld says Manchester terror attack has made her more ‘aware’

Hailee performed at Wembley Stadium over the weekend alongside the likes of Niall Horan, Little Mix and Bruno Mars, but opened up about the recent incident in Manchester which killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk backstage at the Capital Summertime Ball about the attack, Hailee said: ‘It has and it hasn’t [affected her], I mean obviously myself and the world is way more aware.

‘But it in no way stops me from doing what I love, I look at how 80,000 people are here today, and they’re all here for one reason, and that’s to be together, to be happy and to let go for a while.’

She continued: ‘To me that’s one of the most special things anybody could ever experience, so I’m incredibly honored to be playing tonight, and other stadiums in the world in front of all these beautiful faces.’
