Zedd Teases Hailee Steinfeld Collaboration At Electric Daisy Carnival

Producer-DJ Zedd performed a new song featuring Hailee Steinfeld at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this weekend. If the latter’s Snapchat is any indication, the two of them only cut this song this week.

The minimal track sounds like a natural fit for Hailee in particular. This is only her latest flirtation with electropop, after having worked with Prince Fox in “Fragile” and DNCE for a “Rock Bottom” revamp over the past few months. But she has also been singing suggestive lyrics since her 2015 debut single “Love Myself.” “I didn’t know I was starving until I tasted you,” she sings, when the heavy beat kicks in.

Before Zedd hit the studio with Hailee, he teamed with Iggy Azalea for a last-minute addition to her sophomore album Digital Distortion. He also recorded a new version of “True Colors” featuring Kesha, her long-awaited return to pop.
