Singer Hailee Steinfeld, teaming with co-lead Swedish DJ Alesso, appears for the first time and scores her first top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Sept. 30), as “Let Me Go,” featuring star country duo Florida Georgia Line and singer/guitarist watt, starts at No. 9. The mega-collab earned 3.7 million U.S. streams and sold 13,000 downloads in its first tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.
“Let” is the lucky 13th chart hit, and second top 10, for Alesso, who reached No. 2 in January 2015 with “Heroes (We Could Be),” featuring Tove Lo.
The new track also marks a career best for Florida Georgia Line, who, as featured on The Chainsmokers’ “Last Day Alive,” reached No. 16 in April. FGL boasts 11 No. 1s on the Country Airplay chart, dating to the pair’s 2012 career launch. “Let” marks the first chart appearance for watt.
“Let” also debuts at No. 3 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales and at No. 17 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs.
